2024 Winners
The Patrington Champions is a group of five friends, Nathan, Florence, Archie, Molly and River who care greatly about road safety around Patrington Primary School and access to the school being blocked by parked cars.
Thanks to their outstanding Safer Roads Humber campaign aimed at making their journey to school safer. The young team took proactive measures to educate drivers about the highway code and the importance of safe parking through informative leaflets and their very own parking tickets. Their initiative has not only improved safety in their community but also inspired other schools to adopt similar measures.
For their prize, they had a trip of lifetime to London, where they explored iconic landmarks such as the Tower of London and the British Museum, soaking in the rich history and culture of the city. Their trip was further highlighted by a special invitation from their MP to visit the Houses of Parliament and a memorable photo opportunity at Downing Street.
